FRIDAY NIGHT

Kicked with the MJ dance crew last night... we did sushi at Katsu-ya then to Off Kilt for some drinks! Here's me with Daniel Celebre & Travis Payne.

MTV Movie Awards

Then after the show it's the after party, and after the party it's
the... ?!? haha!

Be sure to catch the MTV Movie Awards tonight! My High School Musical
peeps are up for 5 awards including Best Movie!

Last stop before the airport...

Standing here with my cousin Luke. My grandparents, Papaw Kenny and
Mamaw Wilma are sitting. This is my last stop before boarding a non-
stop flight from Indy to LAX.

Lunch at O'Charley's

Mamaw Dee

Stopped in to see Mamaw Dee today... she's my Great Grandma. Her 90th
birthday is next month. We had a great visit... she always tells me to
be a good boy when I leave. I will Mamaw :)

Cocktail Cove

Here we are in Indianapolis area on Geist Resevior, specifically
Cocktail Cove! Basically people gather here to drink, boat, drink,
drink and have fun. We tie up our boats, listen to music, party and
take it all in... the place to be on any given weekend through the
summer!

Here I am on the Ecoff farm delivering seed. This land has been farmed
by my Great Grandpa (Papaw Bill) and then passed on to my dad who
farms it to this day.

Headed to LAX here in a few... leaving on a jet plane ;) Little
weekend trip back home to Indy. Looking forward to spending time with

I found Todd watering the rug on the back patio today... it's
completely normal, I promise.

Oh, Sunny Southern California... low 80's and clear in the Valley. Just sitting on the back patio soaking up some rays, surfing the web and chatting on the phone... I'm quite the muti-tasker :)

Surprise!!!

We threw a surprise party for Todd's 31st birthday! It was awesome...
he was totally shocked! This is a pic on the back patio with Carlos'
sister Ester. We screened the MJ sizzle reel tonight, well received!

Michael Jackson 'This Is It'

This picture was included in the recent press release for Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' Concert at the O2 in London. We open this July and are scheduled for 50 shows through March 2010. That's my boss Kenny Ortega behind the camera with MJ. KO's the co-creator, producer and director of the concert. I've been brought aboard the project as assistant to director. I also worked in the same capacity with KO in 2007 on the Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Tour featuring The Jonas Brothers. Before Miley I assisted KO in launching the High School Musical: South American Concert Tour. On May 6th I blogged the pic of me shooting on a RED camera... yep, same camera MJ is holding in this pic ;)

Taco Truck

Met up with my good friend Kyle in Echo Park tonight. I took a detour
on the way to my car for tres tacos carnitas from a random taco
truck... mmm :)

Oakley Red Camera

Here I am shooting some b-roll footage at rehearsals on the Oakley
Red camera. We decided to shoot with an old Zeiss lens to soften it
up... turned out great!

Laugh Factory

Cruising on Sunset today... here's a shot of the infamous Laugh
Factory. If you notice the marquee it has a shout out to the late
Danny Gans... rest in peace. I was fortunate enough to see Danny
perform, he was an amazing talent.

WAFFLE HOUSE

So here's the view from Todd's iPhone somewhere East of the Mighty Mississippi. He's trekking through the mid-west on a journey to attend Mark 'Huff-Daddy' Huffman AKA The King of Jasper's wedding. I used to work with a girl who claimed to be the Queen of Jasper... I'm afraid her story was just that, a story! Obviously she'd have to be married to Huff-Daddy to be the Queen... geez! Back to Todd's contribution to my blog... this pic of a random Waffle House is a lovely depiction of the Heartland's landscape. A real greasy spoon, if you know what I mean ;)

Martin Kove

Todd was able to snap a shot of Martin Kove AKA John Kreese... yes, the Cobra Kai Sensei from Karate Kid we all love to hate! You might recognize Martin from such films as Rambo II or the popular 80's tv series Cagney & Lacey. The word on the street is Martin is still considered a dangerous man. I'm grateful to Todd for his courage in risking his life on this day to snap a photo of a D-list celebrity like Martin. And all for the sake of blogging... much love, J
